Festus Iyayi

Festus Iyayi was a notable Nigerian novelist and trade unionist, recognized for his literary works that vividly depicted the struggles of the Nigerian working class. His most acclaimed novel, 'Heroes,' explores the challenges faced by Nigerian students and workers under military rule. Iyayi was also an active member of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), advocating for better working conditions and educational reforms in Nigeria.
