Garijs Kasparovs

Garijs Kasparovs is a retired Russian chess grandmaster and former World Chess Champion, widely considered one of the greatest chess players of all time. He held the official FIDE title from 1985 to 1993 and later created a rival chess organization. Kasparovs is also known for his political activism and writings on chess and strategy.
