Giovanni Giustiniani

Giovanni Giustiniani was a Genoese military commander who played a crucial role in the defense of Constantinople during its siege by the Ottoman Empire in 1453. Leading a contingent of troops, he fought valiantly alongside the Byzantine defenders but ultimately succumbed to the overwhelming Ottoman forces.
