Hanan el Bergui

Hanan el Bergui is a Moroccan immigrant who began her journey in Barcelona as a kitchen worker at the age of 18. After living for years in the shadows as an undocumented worker, she benefited from the 2005 regularization in Spain, which allowed her to emerge from invisibility, gain legal status, and eventually secure Spanish citizenship. Today, she reflects on her past experiences while advocating for the rights of other migrants still living in fear.
