
Harcourt Fuller
Harcourt Fuller is a Jamaican academic and assistant professor of history at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. He specializes in the socio-political, cultural, and economic history of West Africa, particularly Ghana, and has established himself as an expert on Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first prime minister and president. Fuller earned his PhD from the London School of Economics, where his dissertation focused on Nkrumah's use of national symbols in building a nation-state, which was published in his first book, 'Building the Ghanaian Nation-State: Kwame Nkrumah’s Symbolic Nationalism.' Recently, he served as the historical consultant for the documentary 'The Eyes of Ghana,' which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, showcasing his ongoing commitment to exploring and sharing the legacy of Nkrumah and Ghana's independence.
