Hardeep Nijjar was a Sikh separatist leader in Canada whose assassination in June 2023 in Surrey, B.C., has drawn international attention and led to a significant diplomatic rift between Canada and India, following Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's allegations of Indian government involvement in his death.
