Hatsuyo Nakamura

Hatsuyo Nakamura was a widow and mother living in Hiroshima at the time of the atomic bombing. Her husband had died serving in Singapore, and she faced the challenges of raising her children in the aftermath of the devastation, becoming one of the key figures highlighted in John Hersey's account.
