Hemedti

Hemedti, formally known as Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, is a Sudanese military leader and the deputy head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan. He is known for his role as the commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group that has been involved in significant conflicts within Sudan, particularly during the Darfur conflict. His influence has grown in recent years, especially amid the ongoing civil conflict that erupted in 2023, where he and his forces have clashed with the Sudanese Armed Forces led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. The power struggle between Hemedti and al-Burhan has drawn international attention, as it poses a threat to the stability of Sudan and raises concerns about potential fragmentation of the country.
