Hisashi Ouchi

Hisashi Ouchi was a Japanese nuclear technician who became infamous for suffering the most painful death in history after a criticality accident at a uranium processing plant in Tokaimura, Japan, in 1999. Ouchi was exposed to an unprecedented dose of radiation, leading to severe health complications that lasted 83 days before he succumbed to multiple organ failure.
