
Ivan III
Ivan III, also known as Ivan the Great, was a prominent Grand Prince of Moscow who ruled from 1462 to 1505. He is credited with unifying the Russian principalities and laying the foundations for the Russian state. Under his leadership, Ivan III expanded the territory of Moscow, successfully resisting Mongol dominance and asserting independence from the Golden Horde.
