John Bryce

John Bryce was a New Zealand politician and Native Minister known for his role in the confiscation of Māori land and the suppression of the Parihaka settlement. He led the military invasion of Parihaka in 1881, which resulted in the arrest of its leaders and marked a significant event in New Zealand's colonial history.
