Jonathan Kobes

Jonathan Kobes is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed in 2018. He is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and the University of Chicago Law School, and prior to his appointment, Kobes practiced law in South Dakota and served as an attorney in various capacities, including as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.
