Juan Trippe was the influential founder and chairman of Pan American World Airways (Pan Am), one of the most iconic airlines in aviation history. He played a crucial role in expanding international air travel and was instrumental in the airline's decision to order Concordes, which prompted U.S. government action to develop its own supersonic transport aircraft, the Boeing 2707.
