Najeeb Halaby was a prominent American aviation executive and the director of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) during the early 1960s. He is best known for his foresight regarding the impact of supersonic air travel on the U.S. aviation industry, famously warning President John F. Kennedy about the potential job losses and economic consequences if American airlines failed to compete with foreign supersonic jets like the Concorde.
