Kareem Khan Zand

Kareem Khan Zand was the founder of the Zand dynasty in Iran, ruling from 1751 to 1779. He is often remembered for his efforts to restore peace and stability in a country ravaged by civil war and foreign invasion. His reign is characterized by a focus on cultural development and the arts, notably in architecture. He constructed the Golestan Palace, which later became a significant royal residence in Tehran.
