Karen Guzzo

Karen Guzzo is a professor of sociology and director of the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is known for her anti-pronatalist stance, advocating for policies that support families without coercively encouraging childbearing. Guzzo argues for improved economic mobility and a better safety net as essential factors for raising birth rates, rather than imposing societal pressures on individuals to have children.
