Kevin O’Rourke was a New York firefighter who tragically lost his life during the 9/11 attacks while responding to the emergency at the World Trade Center. His parents, Dennis and Hannah O’Rourke, were among the passengers stranded in Gander, Newfoundland, where the local community extended their generosity and support in the wake of the tragedy.
