Khalil Abu Daher

Khalil Abu Daher is a resident of Beit Jinn, a border village in Syria, who recently survived an Israeli raid that left his family traumatized. During the raid, he lost his 17-year-old daughter, Hiba, who was shot, while he himself was injured trying to protect his children. Khalil's story highlights the ongoing violence and instability in the region, as well as the desperate desire for peace and security expressed by many Syrians living in the aftermath of the civil war.
