Kim Ilhyuk

Kim Ilhyuk is a North Korean defector who escaped the oppressive regime of Kim Jong-un, having witnessed the public execution of a close acquaintance for watching and distributing South Korean media. After enduring harsh conditions and threats of forced labor for his relationship with his wife, he successfully fled to South Korea with his pregnant wife and mother, carrying the ashes of his deceased father. Now residing in Seoul, he works multiple jobs to support his family while sharing his harrowing experiences.
