Seongyun Ryu

Seongyun Ryu is a North Korean defector who escaped to South Korea in 2019 after serving part of his mandatory military duty. He has since pursued studies in Western philosophy and aims to educate others on the importance of freedom. His journey to freedom involved meticulous planning over three years, and upon arrival in South Korea, he was struck by the stark contrast between the two Koreas, particularly regarding access to information and individual liberties.
