Kim Rebholz

Kim Rebholz is a conservation worker who was hired by the DRC government in 2022 to oversee the Mangrove Marine Park, a protected area known for its biodiversity. While patrolling the park, he discovered illegal palm oil plantations owned by former president Joseph Kabila, prompting him to speak out against environmental destruction. Following his revelations, Rebholz and his family faced violent reprisals, including a home invasion and assault, leading him to flee the country.
