
Laurent Kabila
Laurent Kabila was a Congolese revolutionary leader who played a pivotal role in the overthrow of longtime dictator Mobutu Sese Seko in 1997, subsequently becoming the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). His rule was marked by conflict and controversy, including the use of child soldiers and the escalation of violence that led to the Second Congo War, one of the deadliest conflicts in African history.
