Lesia Hnatiw

Lesia Hnatiw is a retired postal worker based in Yukon, Canada, who became an active voice for the Ukrainian community following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Moved by a sense of anger and helplessness, she began protesting with a Ukrainian flag, which led to the formation of the Ukrainian Canadian Association of Yukon, uniting community members in support of Ukraine. Hnatiw advocates for proactive engagement, encouraging others to find organizations to support and participate in meaningful work to aid their homeland.
