Lessie Benningfield Randle is one of the last known survivors of the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921, an event that resulted in the deaths of an estimated 300 black residents and the destruction of the prosperous Greenwood District, known as Black Wall Street. Randle has been an advocate for reparations and justice for the victims and their descendants, seeking acknowledgment and compensation for the historical injustices faced by her community.
