Li Haiyan

Li Haiyan is a prominent academic and the Dean of the School of Environmental and Energy Engineering at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. With over 20 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to addressing critical issues in urban water quality and pollution control, particularly in the context of China's sponge city initiative. Her innovative research focuses on the mechanisms of pollutant removal from urban runoff and the development of efficient pollution control technologies. Li is also passionate about science communication, actively engaging in educational projects and public outreach to raise awareness about water management and environmental sustainability.
