Louis Perrier

Louis Perrier was a French doctor and entrepreneur who is best known for bottling the famous mineral water sourced from Vergeze, France, in 1898. His brand, Perrier, has become synonymous with high-quality sparkling mineral water and was later developed internationally, contributing significantly to the bottled water industry. The brand was acquired by Nestlé in 1992 and has since been at the center of recent controversies regarding the treatment of mineral water, amid allegations that it and other brands may have been mislabeling their products by subjecting them to filtration processes that conflict with European regulations for natural mineral water.
