Mahire Polat

Mahire Polat is the Deputy Secretary-General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB). He has recently been in the news due to his involvement in a large-scale investigation that led to the arrest of multiple officials associated with the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Istanbul, including the mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem İmamoğlu. The investigation is linked to allegations of connections with the terrorist organization PKK/KCK and activities surrounding the 'City Consensus' during the municipal elections held in March 2024.
