Malbagar Mendikulov

Malbagar Mendikulov was a prominent Kazakh engineer and military officer, born in 1909. He served as a commander of an engineer-sapper battalion during World War II, participating in crucial operations, including the crossings of major European rivers. After the war, he became the chief architect of Almaty, contributing significantly to the architectural landscape of Kazakhstan. Mendikulov was recognized for his service with multiple awards and is remembered as a key figure in the development of Kazakh architecture.
