
Mario D'Aleo
Mario D'Aleo was an Italian Carabinieri officer who succeeded Emanuele Basile as the commander of the Monreale company. He was also a victim of mafia violence, assassinated on June 11, 1983, alongside his colleagues, as part of the brutal campaign by Cosa Nostra that sought to eliminate law enforcement and political figures standing against them during the violent years of the late 20th century in Sicily.
