Martin Rütschi is a Swiss photographer known for his impactful documentation of the open drug scene in Zürich during the 1990s, particularly at the Lettenareal. His images, often capturing the stark realities of addiction and urban decay, became some of the most recognized visuals of that era. After spending 25 years in news photography with the Keystone agency, Rütschi transitioned to freelance work in 2012, continuing to explore themes of social justice through his lens.
