Mary Anne Callender

Mary Anne Callender was the owner of the Lucan Restaurant on Sarsfield Quay and a notable figure during the Easter Rising. She courageously kept her restaurant open during the conflict, famously providing Patrick Pearse with his last meal before execution. Known for her strong spirit, she also took on the task of delivering ammunition for her son Ignatius, showing her determination to support the cause.
