Maxima of the Netherlands, born Máxima Zorreguieta Cerruti in 1971 in Argentina, is the queen consort of the Netherlands. She became queen upon her husband Willem-Alexander's ascension to the throne in 2013. Known for her vibrant personality and commitment to social issues, Queen Maxima has been an advocate for financial inclusion and women's rights. With a background in economics, she has worked with various international organizations, including the United Nations, and continues to represent the Netherlands at official events, recently making headlines during the papal inauguration of Pope Leone XIV.
