Nikolai Kuznetsov

Nikolai Kuznetsov was a Soviet senior lieutenant and a renowned reconnaissance officer, posthumously awarded the 'Golden Star' for his bravery. He was killed in action during a confrontation with the Ukrainian Insurgent Army in 1944 and is remembered as a national hero, with his remains recently exhumed from a memorial site in Lviv.
