Óscar González Pineda was a tile and carpet installer who was detained by U.S. immigration authorities in Dallas, Texas. He was deported to El Salvador and subsequently held in a maximum-security prison known as Cecot. His family claims he had no ties to criminal organizations, despite being accused of involvement with the Tren de Aragua gang. After months of confinement under harsh conditions, he was repatriated back to Venezuela as part of a prisoner exchange between the U.S. and Venezuela.
