Pío Lorenzo López Obrador

Pío Lorenzo López Obrador is a Mexican political figure and the brother of former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. He gained notoriety in 2020 when videos surfaced showing him receiving cash from David León Romero, raising allegations of illegal campaign financing for the political party Morena during the lead-up to the 2018 elections. After these revelations, he was involved in a protracted investigation by the National Electoral Institute (INE), which concluded in 2025 that there was insufficient evidence to establish a direct link between the money received and campaign financing.
