Rafael Dario Ramirez

Rafael Dario Ramirez is a Venezuelan politician and former minister who served as the Minister of Oil and Mining and Minister of Foreign Affairs under Hugo Chávez. He was a key figure in the Venezuelan government from 2002 to 2014, overseeing the country's oil industry as president of the state-owned oil company. After becoming an opponent of Nicolás Maduro, he sought refuge in Italy, where he was granted political asylum in 2021 amidst legal challenges from the Venezuelan government.
