Rex Connor

Rex Connor was an Australian politician and a prominent member of the Australian Labor Party, serving as the Minister for Minerals and Energy during the Whitlam government. He is best known for his involvement in the controversial overseas loans affair in 1975, where he sought a massive loan through a dubious Pakistani trader, leading to significant political fallout and ultimately contributing to the dismissal of Prime Minister Gough Whitlam.
