Robert Palladino

Robert Palladino is a seasoned American diplomat currently serving as the acting chargé d'affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Budapest, Hungary, as of March 7. A career diplomat with extensive experience across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, Palladino has held various key positions, including Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and Chief of Staff to Deputy Secretary of State Stephen E. Biegun during the Trump administration. His background also includes serving as the U.S. Consul General in Iraq and working in significant roles within the National Security Council. Palladino is fluent in Mandarin and Italian and has a strong educational foundation, holding degrees from Notre Dame University, Washington & Lee University School of Law, and the U.S. Army War College. He is married and a father of two daughters.
