Rodney Harrison

Rodney Harrison is a retired chief of department of the New York Police Department, where he became the highest-ranking uniformed officer. He played a key role in implementing the Neighborhood Policing Program during his tenure, aimed at improving community relations. After retiring in 2021, Harrison led the Suffolk County Police Department and has recently endorsed Zohran Mamdani's campaign for mayor, supporting his vision of a Department of Community Safety that integrates mental health professionals into policing efforts.
