Roman Chervynskyi

Roman Chervynskyi is a former colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and a key figure in the covert operation to sabotage the Nord Stream gas pipelines. He was reportedly the mastermind behind the plan, which was conceived by a small group of Ukrainian operatives in response to the geopolitical tensions following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Chervynskyi's group sought to disrupt Europe's dependence on Russian gas, viewing the operation as a strategic military action rather than terrorism.
