Rosa Luxembourg

Rosa Luxembourg was a prominent Marxist theorist, philosopher, and revolutionary socialist born in 1871 in what is now Poland. She became one of the leading figures in the German socialist movement and was known for her critiques of both capitalism and the mainstream socialist movement of her time. Luxembourg played a significant role in the early years of the German Communist Party and was an advocate for spontaneous mass action. Her strong opposition to World War I and her commitment to revolutionary socialism made her a key figure in the early 20th-century socialist movement, and she remains an influential figure in leftist thought today.
