Sami Sadat

Lt Gen Sami Sadat is a former commanding general of the Afghan National Special Operations Corps, known for his leadership of elite military units that operated alongside US forces during the war in Afghanistan. He has been vocal about the capabilities and professionalism of these special units, particularly the Kandahar Strike Force, which played a significant role in counterterrorism operations against the Taliban. After the fall of Kabul in 2021, Sadat has also been involved in discussions surrounding the treatment and support of Afghan military personnel seeking asylum in the United States.
