
Svetlana Tihanovskaja
Svetlana Tihanovskaja is a prominent Belarusian opposition leader and former presidential candidate, known for her activism against the authoritarian regime of Alexander Lukashenko. After running in the 2020 presidential elections, which were widely regarded as fraudulent, she became a symbol of democratic resistance in Belarus. Tihanovskaja has since been living in exile, advocating for human rights and democracy, and has called for international support for independent media in Belarus, including Radio Free Europe.
