Sylvanie Burton

Sylvanie Burton is the President of the Commonwealth of Dominica and notably the first female president and first head of state of indigenous descent in the country. She serves as a strong advocate for recognizing women's contributions in various fields, including emergency services. During the recent Women in Service Retreat, she emphasized the importance of acknowledging women's roles in driving progress and highlighted the ongoing challenges women face in the workplace.
