Teodoros Rousopoulos

Teodoros Rousopoulos is the leader of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), recognized for his advocacy for human rights and press freedom. He has recently drawn attention for highlighting the dangers faced by journalists, particularly in Ukraine, where numerous reporters have been detained amid ongoing conflict. Under his leadership, PACE awarded the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize to Ukrainian journalist Maksym Butkevyč, emphasizing the critical role of media in safeguarding democracy and human rights.
