Between 2020 and 2023, he reportedly extracted over 16,000 tons of ore, resulting in significant state losses exceeding 1.1 billion tenge. He was sentenced to 6 years and 8 months in prison, and his assets, including five vehicles and a farm worth 97.8 million tenge, were confiscated.
