Upali Wijerathna

Corporal Upali Wijerathna was a soldier in the Sri Lankan Army who served as the bodyguard for Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa. He is notable for being the sole survivor of the landmine explosion that killed several high-ranking officers, including Kobbekaduwa, and for his subsequent contributions to the military despite sustaining severe injuries.
