Uwe Kockisch

Uwe Kockisch was a prominent German actor, best known for his portrayal of Commissario Guido Brunetti in the popular ARD television series based on Donna Leon's novels. Born on January 31, 1944, in Cottbus, Kockisch had a varied career that included significant roles in both film and television, notably as the Stasi officer Hans Kupfer in the series 'Weissensee.' He began his acting education at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch and spent around two decades at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater in Berlin.
