Valeria Zarutska

Valeria Zarutska is the aunt of Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who was tragically murdered in a violent attack on a train in Charlotte, North Carolina. Deeply affected by her niece's death, Valeria has publicly shared her grief and has initiated a fundraising campaign to cover the funeral expenses. She described Iryna as an artist with a kind heart, who had fled the bombings in Ukraine three years prior in search of peace and a new beginning.
