Volodymyr Rakov

Volodymyr Rakov was a Ukrainian soldier and photographer known for capturing poignant images of life on the front lines during the ongoing conflict with Russia. Before his military service, he was a well-known dancer in Kyiv. Tragically, he was killed in battle at the age of 30, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and compassion, particularly towards animals affected by the war. His work is currently being showcased in an exhibition titled 'Souls and Bodies: Photographs by a Fallen Ukrainian Hero,' highlighting the beauty he found in everyday life despite the chaos of war.
